Medical camp on camel vaccination practices June 2024
Amedical camp on camel vaccination practices was organized across Nagaur, Degana, and Merta blocks (western Rajasthan). During the camp, 750 camels were successfully vaccinated, and camel owners were educated on best herd management and vaccination practices. This focused effort aims to improve overall herd health, reduce mortality rates, and boost income generation for the camel-rearing communities. By promoting preventive healthcare, the initiative supports the long-term sustainability and productivity of the traditional camel economy in the region.
Awareness camp on camel diseases and care practices Alwardistrict (6 Blocks):
From 4th to 11th December 2024, a focused awareness camp on camel diseases and care practices was conducted across six blocks of Alwar district. The program educated approximately 640 camel herders and owners on best practices for camel health management. The training emphasized disease prevention, early diagnosis, nutrition management, and modern care techniques. By adopting these improved practices, camel owners can significantly reduce herd mortality, enhance herd health, and increase income generation through better livestock productivity.
