Post-Harvest Training for Farmers

From February 15 to March 18, 2022, the Foundation conducted intensive post-harvest training sessions for 1,300 farmers across five blocks in Gujarat: Deesa, Dhanera, Dantiwada, Chanshma, and Radhanpur. The objective was to boost income through better crop management and value addition.

The program introduced modern techniques for drying, storage, and packaging. Farmers learned how to reduce post-harvest losses, maintain crop quality, and explore market linkages for higher profitability.

Hands-on sessions and field demonstrations created a high-impact learning environment. Farmers gained new perspectives on sustainable practices and the importance of grading and branding.

This initiative significantly enhanced their capacity to earn more from the same land, proving that knowledge and innovation can uplift entire farming communities.
