Menstrual Hygiene & Period Education
Between July and October 2021, Planet Nurture Foundation carried out menstrual health workshops in Shahpura, Manoharpur, Phagi, and Dudu blocks of Jaipur. The initiative aimed to address stigma, educate women, and improve access to menstrual hygiene products.
Workshops empowered over 1,800 women and adolescent girls with knowledge about their menstrual health, reproductive hygiene, and product safety. Distribution channels were created through local schools and SHGs to provide sanitary napkins regularly.
These efforts helped improve school attendance among adolescent girls and encouraged women to speak openly about menstrual health. Many participants reported feeling more confident and informed post-workshop.
By normalizing conversations around periods, the Foundation promoted not just hygiene—but dignity, equality, and long-term health outcomes for rural women.
