At Planet Nurture Foundation, we believe that safe sanitation is not just about infrastructure—it's about dignity, health, and lasting change. Our comprehensive approach to WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) promotes healthy behaviors, inclusive practices, and community ownership to ensure everyone—from children to elders—has access to safe and hygienic sanitation.
- Ensuring WASH-Related Behavior Change: We conduct awareness sessions for children, adolescents, and adults to instill healthy hygiene habits such as handwashing, safe water handling, and toilet use, promoting lifelong behavioral change.
- Maintaining Reproductive Hygiene: Special focus is placed on adolescent girls and women through menstrual hygiene management workshops and distribution of sanitary products, ensuring privacy, dignity, and better health.
- Development of WASH Infrastructure: We support the construction of toilets, handwashing stations, and clean drinking water points at both community and institutional levels, including schools and anganwadis.
- Strengthening VWHSNCs, SMCs, PRIs: We build the capacity of Village Health, Sanitation & Nutrition Committees, School Management Committees, and Panchayati Raj Institutions to monitor and sustain WASH practices locally.
- Convergence with Government Programmes: Our efforts align with national schemes like Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, leveraging resources for broader impact and sustainability.
