Community Awareness building on NRM and Climate Change

At Planet Nurture Foundation, we believe that sustainable change begins with informed communities. Our community awareness programs on Natural Resource Management (NRM) and Climate Change aim to educate and engage people in adopting eco-friendly habits that protect nature and secure future livelihoods.

  • Plantation: Tree plantation drives are organized across villages and schools to increase green cover, restore soil health, and improve air quality. Community participation ensures ownership and long-term care of the planted trees.

  • Reducing Use of Plastics: Awareness sessions focus on the harmful effects of single-use plastics. We encourage the use of cloth bags, biodegradable products, and promote waste segregation at the household level.

  • Increasing Use of Solar Energy: Workshops highlight the benefits of solar-powered devices like lamps, cookers, and water heaters. We collaborate with local vendors to make solar solutions more accessible in rural areas.

  • Preventing Wastage of Domestic Water: We educate families about simple yet effective water-saving practices, such as fixing leaks, reusing water, and rainwater harvesting. Demonstrations help households implement changes immediately.
